Here's a recap of this week's Critical Thinking SI sessions on deductive and inductive arguments and a look ahead to next week's sessions on identifying different kinds of reasoning.
Next Monday's session (02/08) will focus on identifying the kinds of premises: definitional, direct empirical, and testimonial.
Wednesday's session (02/10) will deal with expert testimony. We'll apply the CLEAR test to several cases to determine the reliability of expert accounts.
As always, Thursday's session (02/11) will be a Q&A, so come ready with any and all questions about this week's (or any week's!) material so we can move into week 5 nice and easy.
