Hey, y'all!
Here's a recap of this week's Critical Thinking SI sessions on evaluating arguments and a look ahead to next week's sessions on identifying different kinds of reasoning.
Next Monday's session (02/01) will focus on deductive vs. inductive reasoning--what dinstinguishes them and how to apply the true premises and proper form test to them to see fi they're any good.
Wednesday's session (02/03) will deal with logical fallacies, those
very common bad arguments that appear to make sense but actually fail completely to prove what
they seem to prove.
As always, Thursday's session (02/04) will be a Q&A, so come ready with any and all questions about this week's (or any week's!) material so we can move into week 5 nice and easy.
Tell your friends how cool SI is and come out if you can!
